Nathan Brown
Assistant Principal and Athletic Director 

I began my teaching career at Stone Memorial in 2012 as an English teacher and served in that role for eight years. During that time, I have served in various leadership and coaching roles. Since then, I have obtained my Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University and served as the school's Assistant Athletic Director for three years. I also have earned educational endorsements in both Economics and Personal Finance. Most recently, I spent time as an Athletic Director and Assistant Principal in Baxter, TN at Upperman High School and look forward to bringing the professional tools and strategies I learned there to Stone Memorial as I serve my local community.

I see the classroom and the school I work in as a mission field by which I can serve others and provide them valuable and lasting learning experiences. As an administrator and athletic director, I get to serve in a greater capacity to more students, faculty and community members. It truly is a privilege to be as assistant principal and athletic director where I began my educational journey and I relish the opportunity of being servant-leader at Stone Memorial.

Finally, I would like to recognize both my sister and my mother. Each greatly influenced my decision to pursue a career in education and I welcome the challenge to follow in their footsteps as effective and impactful school leaders in a community I love.
