Abbi Dunford
Assistant Principal

I am very excited to join the administrative team, as well as the faculty and staff here at SMHS.

After graduating from Alvin C. York Institute in 2001, I attended Tennessee Technological University, where I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in 2004 with a major of secondary education mathematics and a minor in mathematics.  I taught for 4 years in Fentress County, teaching both middle and high school math classes.  During the summer of 2009, I graduated Tennessee Technological University with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Secondary Education and graduated in 2010 from Tennessee Technological University with an EdS in Instructional Leadership.I also joined the faculty at Stone Memorial High School in 2009 and taught a variety of math classes, as well as serving as the school’s RTI Coordinator during my 8 years there.  I left SMHS during the summer of 2017 and began my first administrative job, serving as an Assistant Principal at Pleasant Hill Elementary for two years.  I am pleased to be back at SMHS and am ready to have an awesome school year!

My husband Micah and I have two children, Annabeth and Samuel.  I enjoy attending sporting events, reading, and shopping.
